Two people very familiar with Covenant’s Student Ministry program will be a huge help while the church searches for a new Director of Middle School Ministries.
Covenant member Jennifer Maham will serve as Interim Student Ministries Assistant. Jennifer has four children in the student ministry program and has served as a leader on two mission trips. She will assist Billy and the ministry to carry out administrative tasks, and help plan and run big events. “I have gone on two mission trips with student ministry and I feel really connected with that age group. Middle school and high school students are my people!” Jennifer said. “Also, I work well and Billy and appreciate what he brings to the ministry.”
Jake Plunneke, current middle school intern, will also take on a larger role as Weekly Program Coordinator for Middle School Ministry. Jake will oversee all teaching and planning for middle school on Wednesday nights and on Sunday morning D*groups. Jake has served as an intern for almost two years. “Jake will provide continuity for students as he is a familiar face and a beloved one at that!” Billy said.
A committee has been formed and is working toward hiring a new Middle School Director. For questions about that process, please contact Jon Wasson.
