Wednesday Morning Prayer

A weekly 30-minute time of prayer guided by the upcoming Sunday’s Revised Common Lectionary readings.

Koinonia Sunday School Class

Read and discuss books that explore a variety of Christian topics. First Sunday of the month devoted to a previous Covenant sermon.

Early Word Bible Discussion Class

Read and discuss the sermon discussion guide on the sermon preached the week before and the scripture that will be preached in worship the morning of the class. The week’s sermon discussion guide can be found at covenant.org/worship-online.

Parents of Teens Sunday School Group
Sundays, 9:30am, FE 103
The teenage years are hevel; amorphous, changing, and ultimately fleeting. Join us to wonder, share, and be encouraged by each other as we seek to love our teens well, parent them effectively, and prepare them to live independently. Our study will be guided by “The Five Love Languages of Teenagers” by Gary Chapman, interspersed with supplemental materials on topics of interest to be presented by group members throughout the year.
Drop-ins are always welcome.

Faith, Community, and the Word

Faith, Community and the Word operates as a Sunday morning small group, journeying through life and faith together, and discussing recent sermons, the Bible, and books on faith. A new book study will begin in September.

Small Groups
Begin after September 1
New small groups are forming for the Fall, and will begin meeting after Labor Day. Groups meet weekly, and gather in homes or on the Covenant campus. Small groups are a place for fellowship, study, and prayer. Groups typically study the weekly sermon discussion guide or other studies as determined by the group. New groups will meet for six weeks, with the option of continuing on beyond that time. New leaders are needed; training and resources are provided.

Empty Nesters Sunday School Class
Sundays, 11:00 a.m., FE 107
For married couples in their 40s/50s/60s who are approaching or already enjoying the empty nest stage of life. Provides opportunities for fellowship, book study, social outings, and Bible study while pivoting to the second half of marriage.

Kairos Class

Kairos Class meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at 10:00 a.m. for a facilitated discussion over video material.

What Do You Do When God Calls?
Tuesdays, October 7, 14, and 21, 12:00 p.m., FE 104
A three-week study and discussion group focused on relying on God’s promised help, building trust, and listening well to share our faith with others. Elliott Flick will lead this three-week study based on his extensive research and writing on this topic.

Marriage Connection
Begins in September
A four-month program to strengthen marriages by bringing couples together in friendship and mentorship. Participating couples will be paired with mentor couples in a small group setting for scripture-based conversation. Couples of all stages of life are invited to participate. Groups will meet once a month, September – December.

Exploring Scripture Class
Sundays, 9:30 a.m., FE 100
This new Sunday morning class is a place for people to gather around Scripture to learn who God is and to grow in obedience to God. This discussion-style class is designed for anyone who is new to Scripture or who is seeking to read and apply the Bible in their daily lives. No prior work or knowledge is required, and all are welcome. This fall we will be looking at stories from the Old Testament, led by Laura Tuma, Dan Hart, and Pastors Stephen Murray and Ben Davison.
