FAQ

The next phase of construction is expected to begin in early October, 2024 and is anticipated to last up to seven months. We will provide regular updates on the progress and any changes to the timeline. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this period.

During construction, parking will be more limited than usual. Parking on campus should be prioritized for those with mobility impairments and visitors on Sunday mornings. We strongly encourage utilizing Covenant’s shuttle lot located at Texan Eye (5717 Balcones Dr). Additionally, consider carpooling or using public transportation if possible. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

While the patio will be closed during construction, a pathway will remain open to ensure access to both the Sanctuary and FEB. We’ll miss gathering on the patio during this time, but these important upgrades are key to making our campus more accessible and welcoming for all. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve our space!

Access to Covenant Hall, the Sanctuary, and the Fellowship and Education Building (FEB) will be available through a small pathway on our patio and through our southern-facing entrances.  Please follow the designated pathways and signs to reach your destination safely. Our welcome team will be available to assist you on Sunday mornings.

At this time, we do not anticipate any changes to our service times or locations. We will continue to hold services at 8:15 and 9:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary and at 11:00 a.m. in FE200.

For over sixty years, God has used Covenant to impact lives in Austin and beyond.

Amid church decline, we are blessed with growth, prompting the need for enhanced facilities. This $6.2 million project, fully funded through the Unlocking Joy Capital Campaign, includes revitalizing Eaton Hall, upgrading our patio and walkways, and improving accessibility. We are deeply grateful to our generous congregation, whose contributions made these transformative improvements possible, ensuring we continue serving our community as a vessel for God’s work.

Ways to Partner with Us During Construction

Join Us in Prayer

We welcome prayers as we bring this extensive project through to completion. Specifically, please pray for the construction team, the timelines, the safety of all workers, and the smooth progression of the project. Your prayers provide the spiritual support needed to navigate this period of change and growth.

Lessen the Strain on Our Parking Lot

Help alleviate Sunday morning parking congestion by using our shuttle lot at Texan Eye (5717 Balcones Dr). Additionally, consider carpooling, utilizing public transportation, or arranging drop-offs to reduce the number of vehicles on campus. Your cooperation will make a significant difference during this period.

Consider Attending an Alternative Worship Service

To help distribute attendance, consider attending our more intimate 8:15 a.m. service in the Sanctuary. Additionally, our 9:30 a.m. service is available to livestream from wherever you are. Utilizing these alternative services will help reduce congestion and ensure a more comfortable experience for everyone during the construction period.
