Covenant Music

Choirs and ensembles at Covenant are an opportunity to use your musical gifts to glorify God in worship and assist in congregational leadership. Each ensemble presents a wide range of selections that support the worship theme. They also provide community with others in our congregation and serve while sharing the gift of music.

We offer many opportunities to get involved in music ministry. We have choirs for all ages, with options for the novice to the experienced musician. Our live band in the contemporary worship is another venue for musicians at Covenant. Instrumentalists can use their skill throughout the church year to enhance worship as well as share with Covenant’s wide variety of small group events.

Sanctuary Choir

Our Sanctuary Choir regularly participates in the traditional worship services. This choir sings a wide range of music and welcomes all singers, regardless of ability. This includes larger events like concerts with other ensembles at Covenant, collaborations with other churches, and singing with instrumental ensembles to present choral masterworks. No audition is required, and weekly rehearsals are Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m, August through May.

For more information, email Michael Shuman or Chris Paton or call (512) 334-3034.

GraceNotes is Covenant’s auditioned chamber choir singing sacred music from all styles and historical periods. GraceNotes often participates in the traditional worship services and presents concerts with the Sanctuary Choir and Pro Musica Handbell Choir. An audition is required. Rehearsals take place Sunday mornings at 11:00, September through May.

For more information, email Michael Shuman or Chris Paton or call (512) 334-3034.

Worship Band

The worship band leads the congregation in song during weekly services and other gatherings. The team may include anything from a handful of singers and musicians to a full band with a horn or string section. The team is responsible for preparing music to create an environment of expressive worship for those who attend.
