Andrew Hawkins Men’s Bible Study
Weekly men’s Bible study with an informal structure geared toward a rich supportive fellowship. The course of study for a given period is discussed and agreed on by the members. The scriptures being studied are read aloud in a group setting each week and then discussed among the group. Members can attend in person or through ZOOM.

Men’s Lunch Bible Study
Men’s lunch, fellowship, and Bible study discussion. Our one hour format is specifically designed to serve our men in the middle of a work day. Lunch can be purchased ahead of time through your RSVP and will be brought to the church for you. RSVP required.

Women
Church Women United in Austin
Church Women United (CWU) is a racially, culturally and theologically inclusive Christian women’s movement, celebrating unity in diversity and working for peace and justice. Founded in 1941, CWU is recognized by the United Nations as a nongovernmental (NGO) organization acting on behalf of women and children throughout the world. Women from Covenant are active in the leadership and life of the Austin chapter. Monthly meetings encourage friendships and educate women so they can support a world filled with justice and mercy for all humankind. Churches take turns hosting meetings on the 1st Friday of each month. Come for coffee at 9:30 a.m., the program begins at 10:00 am. More information to come.

Lamplighters
Lamplighters combines an individual inductive study with a weekly podcast, small group discussion, and prayerful fellowship. We remain rooted in God’s Word and connected to one another as we seek to grow as followers of Jesus Christ. The 2026-27 study is the Gospel of John: Living Water. Women are welcome to join at any time of year.

Moms in the Word
Moms in the Word falls under the umbrella of Lamplighters, and is a low-pressure weekly Bible study that provides fellowship for moms with free childcare available. Fall study is He’s Where The Joy Is – Getting to Know the Captivating God of the Trinity by Tara-Leigh Cobble.

Monthly Women’s Lunch Bunch
Join women of all ages for fellowship, prayer and discussions on a range of topics. Bring your lunch if you want to eat. Feel free to bring a friend or co-worker too as new participants are always welcome.

Women’s Monthly Bible Study
Monthly Women’s Bible Study meets in small groups for scripture study, fellowship, prayer, and mission. The 2026-27 study is United Through Christ, Bound to Each Other: Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians. Paul’s advice to the young Corinthian church concerns many of the issues with which we struggle today. Women are welcome to join at any time of year.

Empty Nesters Sunday School Class
For married couples in their 40s/50s/60s who are approaching or already enjoying the empty nest stage of life. Provides opportunities for fellowship, book study, social outings, and Bible study while pivoting to the second half of marriage.

Exploring Scripture Class
A year-long journey through Scripture which will cover significant scripture passages beginning in Genesis and ending in Revelation. The class will utilize God’s Unfolding Story curriculum, written and designed by our Covenant team. This discussion-style class is designed for anyone who is new to Scripture or who is seeking to read and apply the Bible in their daily lives. No prior work or knowledge is required, and all are welcome.

Koinonia Sunday School Class
Provides an opportunity for individuals to read and discuss books that enable them to follow the example of Jesus. We devote the first Sunday of the month to discussing a recent Covenant sermon. Visitors are always welcome.

Parents of Teens Sunday School Class
The teenage years are full of change, for adolescents and for their families. Join fellow parents of teens to learn, share, and be encouraged by each other as we seek to love our teens well, parent them effectively, and prepare them to live independently. Our study this year will be guided by “Boundaries with Teens” by John Townsend, interspersed with presentations by group members on other topics.

Small Groups
New small groups are forming which will begin meeting the week of August 31, and will meet weekly. These groups will be invited to participate in a year-long scripture study entitled God’s Unfolding Story, written and designed by our Covenant team. Curriculum and training will be provided. Leaders are needed to facilitate new groups. Sign up to be in a group or be a leader at covenant.org/groups.

Walking the Mourner’s Path
A Christ-centered, spiritually-directed grief support group for those mourning the death of a loved one. Grief can be transformed when shared with others navigating these same unfamiliar and often difficult paths in a safe and supportive space.
