Receive Assistance

Covenant’s Community Guest Ministry seeks to minister to any person who comes to us in need.

During the time of COVID-19, we are unable to receive visitors on our campus. This ministry is taking place primarily through this online process. Below we have outlined how we are able to help our community guests. Please read through the guidelines and fill out the form at the bottom of this page.

After submitting your form, someone from our volunteer team will contact you via email. This process could take three to five days. Please note that our resources are limited. We hope we are able to help as many people as possible in small ways.

Types of Assistance

At this time, we are able to provide assistance in one of two ways:
  • Limited assistance toward rent (typically $100)

  • Assistance with groceries ($25 HEB gift cards)

General Guidelines

1.

Assistance is limited to once per year for each individual or household. If you have received help from Covenant within the past 12 months, you will not be eligible for assistance at this time.

2.

We process requests in the order they are received. Due to the high number of applications submitted, we cannot respond immediately. We will follow up with you as soon as possible.

3.

Rental assistance is a check mailed to the leasing office listed on your lease. It may take 7-10 business days after your application has been approved. If your leasing office has begun the eviction process, we are not able to help in time to prevent eviction.

How to Apply

Fill out the form below. Applicants are eligible for one type of assistance. Please tell us which need is most urgent: rent assistance or groceries. We cannot do both.

If you are seeking rent assistance, a Covenant representative will contact you to ask for the following required items:

  • Copy of your photo ID (drivers license or ID card)
  • Signed copy of your lease
  • Copy of the W9 form from your leasing office. (Your leasing office will know what this is. Click here to see an example.)

Community Guest Ministry Form

After your application has been processed, we will contact you via email for any additional information needed. We will also let you know whether your request has been approved and when you may expect to receive your assistance.
