At the 9:30 and 11 a.m. worship services, we share the memory and anticipation of Christ's coming, decorating the church with sybmols of life, joy and hope.
The Covenant family is invited to join together at Advent Family Night and Carol Sing on Wednesday, Dec. 4. At this intergenerational celebration, we will remember when God came down in Jesus to be with God's people. The activities will overlap throughout the evening to provide space for all ages to interact and participate. Join us as we engage our hearts and minds while thinking about ways to bless those in the community. The schedule:
5 - 6:30 p.m. - Dinner served; cookies and hot cocoa on patio; family activities (nativity photo booth, ornament making, gift-making for baby Jesus) in FE 200
6 - 7 p.m. - Carol Sing begins in FE 200 and continues onto the patio
6:30 - 7:15 p.m. - Carol sing continues on patio, Journey to Bethlehem marketplace and Prayer Labyrinth open for all ages to participate in Eaton Hall
The Silent Retreat is an extended time for individuals to seek to be alone with the Lord to listen, rest, and be transformed by God’s spirit. The retreat is open to ages 16 years and up. Cost is $10.
The GraceNotes Ensemble with the Pro Musica Handbell Choir will present "Christmas is Coming," a concert of Advent and Christmas music, on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 4 p.m. in the Covenant Sanctuary. Come, enjoy beautiful music from across the ages as we prepare for Christ's birth.
On Sunday, Dec. 15, Covenant will have a Service of Lessons and Carols in our morning church services. This service of scripture readings and songs covers the story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah and the birth of Jesus interspersed with congregational songs, musical meditations and prayer.
Christmas Eve is Tuesday, Dec. 24. On that day, Covenant will have five services:
Childcare is available for the 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. services. Shuttle service will run from 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. from the Texan Eye location.
