Christmas 2020

ADVENT DEVOTIONAL

This devotional is intended to be a useful tool along your Advent journey through the dark to the light of Christmas morning. It features reflections written by Covenant members, and prayers, poems and recipes. We also included some material for after Christmas. We hope it is a blessing and encouragement to you.
This year we mailed a devotional to every household. If you haven’t received it yet, email Kathryn Sedberry. In the meantime, enjoy the online version by clicking on the link below.

SILENT RETREAT

Saturday, December 5   |   9:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.

You are invited to “unplug” using the ancient spiritual practice of solitude this Advent. Participants will gather at the Cedarbrake Retreat Center in Belton for a guided silent retreat. We will practice COVID-19 safety protocols and the majority of the retreat will occur outside. A silent retreat is an extended time in which an individual seeks to be alone with the Lord to listen, rest, and be transformed by God’s Spirit. Prayer guides will be available. There is space for up to 30 participants, ages 16 and up. The cost is $10. Contact Emily Vanderslice with questions.
