Receive Assistance

Covenant’s Community Guest Ministry seeks to minister to any person who comes to us in need.

Our Community Guest Ministry welcomes Austin-area neighbors and visitors to our campus twice a month for counsel, support, prayer and limited financial assistance.

Types of Assistance

At this time, we are able to provide assistance in one of two ways:
  • Limited assistance toward rent (typically $100)

  • Assistance with groceries

General Guidelines

1.

Assistance is limited to once per year for each household. If you or a household member have received help from Covenant within the past 12 months, you will not be eligible for assistance at this time.

2.

An appointment is required to receive assistance. Limited appointments are available and may be booked a few weeks out, so assistance may not be available immediately.

3.

Rent assistance is a check mailed to the office listed on your lease. It may take 7-14 business days after your appointment for the check to be received. If your leasing office has begun the eviction process, we are not able to help in time to prevent eviction.

How to Apply

Please call our office at (512) 454-5231 to schedule an appointment. Guests are eligible for one type of assistance. Please tell us which need is most urgent: rent assistance or groceries. We cannot do both.

If you are seeking rent assistance, please bring the following to your appointment:

  • Copy of your photo ID (drivers license or ID card)
  • Signed copy of your lease
  • Copy of the W9 form from your leasing office. (Your leasing office will know what this is. Click here to see an example.)

If you are seeking assistance with groceries, please bring a photo ID to your appointment.
