Encouraging one another to follow Jesus wherever we live, work, and play.
We recognize that church doesn’t just happen in a building.
At Covenant Presbyterian Church, we are followers of Jesus who strive to live out our faith beyond our walls wherever we live, work, and play.
Focused since our founding
Since Covenant’s founding in 1960, we’ve focused on applying our vision and showing our love for Jesus by serving Austin and the world.
As Austin changes, our philosophy remains the same.

Church's
Practices
Solitude
Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. – Mark 1:35
The practice of solitude provides time and space to be with God and with ourselves for the sake of rest and renewal.
Community
He went up on a mountain and called to him those whom he wanted, and they came to him. – Mark 3:13
We are not invited to follow Jesus alone. In community, we discover who Jesus is and what He is calling us to do.
Service
And he appointed twelve, whom he also named apostles, to be with him and to be sent out to proclaim the message. – Mark 3:14
Those whom Jesus has called are sent out with a mission. Christians are called to serve in three primary areas:
We are sent to our family and neighborhood to create relationships and to pursue justice, compassion, and mercy.

Our Beliefs
Our
Denomination
According to the Book of Order, the PC (USA) “participates in God’s mission for the transformation of creation and humanity by proclaiming to all people the good news of God’s love, offering to all people the grace of God at font and table, and calling all people to discipleship in Christ. Human beings have no higher goal in life than to glorify and enjoy God now and forever, living in covenant fellowship with God and participating in God’s mission.
