Our History
Since 1971, Covenant Presbyterian Preschool and Child’s Day Out has offered half-day, high-quality exploratory learning in a Christian environment.
We are licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
Our school year follows the Austin Independent School District academic schedule.
Holistic learning through a comprehensive curriculum
Your child will grow through a curriculum that uses creative activities and large-group time to foster problem-solving skills, self-control, and acceptance of responsibility.
Preschool students participate in music every week, attend weekly chapel, and are introduced to Spanish. Different units of study involve discovery tables, art projects, language games, Christian values, spiritual growth, and motor skill activities.
In our Children’s Day Out Program, we focus on building basic trust and fostering your child’s autonomy while guiding their development through sensory stimulation and concrete experiences. Your toddler or two-year-old will experience a variety of activities including music, books, puzzles, crayons, paints, and more.
School Readiness Programs
Caring, qualified staff and teachers
Our dedicated and fun-loving teachers have degrees in elementary education, child development, or equivalent training and experience with preschool children.
All staff are certified in CPR and first aid. Each team member also takes an additional 24 hours of study in child development every year.

Register for the next school year
Enrollment for the following school year takes place in February, beginning with current students.
As openings become available, we also enroll children during the school year.
You may also place your child on a waiting list at any time during the year by sending in your application and application fee.
We welcome all children, regardless of race, color, national or ethnic origin, or religious persuasion. We will make any reasonable accommodation for children with physical disabilities.
How to enroll your child
- Download and complete your application.
- Send in your application with the non-refundable $85 application fee.
- At enrollment, pay a non-refundable registration fee ($125 for the first child, $100 for each additional child).
A supply fee of $125/student is charged each semester in September and January.
Upon admission, parents agree to attend a parent orientation and parent-teacher conference in the spring.
We also encourage parents to get involved in the Parent Advisory Team (PAT) or volunteer in a school program such as playground workdays, the spring fundraiser, or book fairs.
