Courageous Conversation

At Covenant, we believe meaningful community is built through honest, thoughtful dialogue across differences. Rev. Dr. Allen Hilton returns to lead an evening of conversation and discovery, drawing on his experience as both a Yale professor and pastor.

This month, we’ll turn our attention to education, a topic that can quickly spark strong opinions in Texas. From school vouchers and taxes to questions around gender and other issues shaping our schools, we’ll explore some of the conversations that can be difficult to have well. Rather than avoiding disagreement, we’ll approach it as an opportunity to remember what holds us together: our shared identity in Christ and our commitment to love one another, even when we see things differently.

Together, we’ll ask hard questions, listen with curiosity, and practice engaging difficult topics with clarity, humility, and respect. Join us Wednesday, September 23 at 6:00 p.m. in FE200. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m.
