Courageous Conversation

May 17 @ 6:15 pm - 7:30 pm

Friends, the nation is still grieving the recent deadly attack on the children and leaders of Covenant School in Nashville. In the aftermath of this tragedy, public opinion is once again vehemently divided about gun laws and security methods in the U.S. Both traditional and social media platforms feature the conflict, as do conversations at water coolers in workplaces and dinner tables in homes. The nation is once again divided.

Here at Covenant, God is building us into one body of Christ. We’re learning to listen and talk with one another in ways that build understanding and connection across our disagreements. Our new Courageous Conversation habit began last fall, and we’ll open the floor again on May 17 at 6:15 p.m. in FE200 to talk about this very current and significant issue together. Allen Hilton, our Theologian in Residence, will facilitate our discussion; but it will not be complete without your ears and voice. So join us!

Come early and join us for dinner in FE200 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Meals are a suggested $10 per plate with a maximum donation of $30 per family. On the menu is Pizza and Green Salad from iFratelli with GF & Vegan options available.

Childcare is available stating at 6:00 p.m. Register for childcare today at this link.

NOTE: The evening will not be livestreamed or recorded due to its unique discussion based format.
