Our preschool is a cooperative program in which our teachers and parents are partners in educating our kids. We serve ages nine months (by Sept. 1) to four years, Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and five years, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Our kids are encouraged to explore and discover through our daily curriculum and activities. Additionally, Covenant students attend chapel and music every week, and our three- to five-year-olds are introduced to Spanish. We follow the Austin Independent School District schedule.
We actively participate in the Texas Education Agency’s Kindergarten Readiness System and implement the “Get Set for School” curriculum in our fours and fives classes. Our degreed and experienced teachers offer students tactile experiences and opportunities to develop socially and emotionally. We provide consistency that helps our kids to gain independence and learn how to simply ‘be’ in society. ‘How do I share?’ ‘How do I play with people?’ Students in these classes participate in whole group, small group and individual activities to engage and excite our children about the world. Concepts we teach include: Reading and writing concepts: body awareness, cooperation, grip, drawing, letter and number recognition, capital letter and number formation. Language and literacy concepts: syllables, names and sounds of letters, words linked to content, new words in spoken language, how to respond to simple questions, how to have discussions and share new ideas. Numbers and math concepts: counting, comparisons, spatial awareness, patterning, sequencing, matching, sorting, problem-solving and Pre-K geometry skills. Our threes and fours classes are co-operative programs. As parents, you are given the opportunity to participate in your child’s learning experience and directly interact with the teacher and your child’s peers. We require a complete background and fingerprint check for each co-oping adult. If you choose not to co-op for your child’s class, we charge an additional fee for a substitute for the day. All sessions are from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

*A co-op is a parent who will work in the classroom as an aide approximately once a month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Through our toddler and two-year-old Child’s Day Out programs, we offer a safe and nurturing environment with emphasis on building basic trust and fostering autonomy while providing an atmosphere for children to learn, experience and develop. The young child needs sensory stimulation and concrete experiences to progress to higher levels of development. We provide a wide variety of activities including music, books, puzzles, crayons and paints to the young explorers. Children attend two days a week, which is developmentally appropriate for this age. All teachers and teacher assistants are certified in CPR/First Aid. All sessions are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
