Wedding | Memorial Service
Covenant is a beautiful place to have a wedding. We wish to offer all the benefits of our ministry to members and non-members in the community contemplating marriage. At Covenant, we believe a wedding is a sacred occasion and a service of worship. As such, weddings are planned in accordance with the beliefs and worship practices of Covenant Presbyterian Church. Couples are encouraged keep this objective in mind when determining where to have and how to plan their service. Our Sanctuary seats up to 420 people. We also have a chapel which seats 100 and is ideal for smaller weddings.
If you are interested in having your wedding at Covenant, these steps will help you determine if Covenant is the right venue and will provide a guide to how to make it happen.
Memorial services and funerals are services of worship in which we affirm God’s power over death and the belief in the resurrection. These services are a time to offer thanksgiving to God for the life of the deceased. We encourage church members and their families to have the service at Covenant.
If a member family desires, Covenant may host a simple reception following the service. We do not charge members for the use of our facilities for these services; however, there are fees associated with providing musicians and A/V assistance at the reception.
Many decisions must be made in preparing for a memorial service or funeral. Covenant members may plan their own service. (See the planning document.) If you choose, your information is kept in a confidential file until needed. If you would like guidance, a pastor will meet with you.
