May Mission Collection

During May, Covenant will collect food donations for the Central Texas Food Bank every Wednesday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

We are requesting members and friends drop off food donations only. We will donate these goods to the Central Texas Food Bank. The food bank touches many of our partners, providing food for the Austin Voices Food Pantries and Mobile Food Banks that in turn serve clients of Texas Reach Out Ministry, Manos de Cristo and Street Youth Ministry.

By donating to the food bank, we are not only providing for many of our mission partners, but we are also serving one of our area’s greatest needs.

The Central Texas Food Banks requests very specific items. Every Wednesday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., we encourage you to drop off the following foods just outside Covenant Hall:

peanut butter
canned chicken breast
canned tuna
canned low-sodium vegetables
canned fruit in its own juice (no sugar added)
dry pinto beans
brown rice
non-fat dry milk powder
100% whole grain cereal

Our partners still need help. Drop off your donations at the partner organizations.
