Mission Spotlight

Presbyterian Children’s Home

Covenant has been in partnership with Presbyterian Children’s Home and Services (PCHAS) since 1999. Unlike other social service agencies, PCHAS combines data-driven program design and expertly trained staff with a philosophy of care that keeps everyone—from social workers to executive leaders—focused on the goals and strengths of each child and their family. We have loved being able to support their ministry in all kinds of ways and are excited to spotlight some of their current work.

Virtual Opportunities:

• Church members record a class on how to build a resume.
• Church members record a class on personal finances and budgeting.

Visit and work on a beautification project at one of our campuses in San Antonio, Itasca, Houston, or Waxahachie. This can include welcoming a new family, working in the garden, or small maintenance projects like repainting rooms.
The Mission Committee is looking for someone with a heart for PCHAS and their work, to serve as the liaison for this organization. A Covenant Mission Liaison serves as someone who is the go-between for their assigned local mission partner and the CPC Mission Committee, Mission Director and congregation. The liaison is someone who is passionate about the Mission Partner, well versed in the work of the partner, actively connected to the partner and champion for their work. If you are interested in serving in this way, Please reach out to Whitney Bell.
