Mission Spotlight

October Spotlight:
Cuba and Belize Partnership

Covenant has a long history of international partnerships, embracing the call of Matthew 28 to make disciples of all nations. Learn more of these partnerships below and find out how you can help.

Through our Cuba partnership, we develop long-term relationships with our brothers and sisters in Christ at Luyanó Presbyterian Church in Havana. Each year, Covenant members spend a week in Havana in the fall. Our volunteers have established strong relational bonds with Luyanó church members. Due to COVID, we are not traveling this fall, but we will find other ways to positively impact our friends in Cuba.

Our sister church in Luyanó shares the following...

Prayers of Thanksgiving

· Thanks be to God that we are able to continue providing drinking water to our neighborhood during the pandemic
· Thanks be to God for the overall general good health of our members
· Thanks be to God we walk through this time together lifted up in prayer with our sister church “El Pacto” in Austin
Prayers of lament and hope:
· We pray for relief from extreme shortages of food, fuel and cooking gas
· We pray that the Lord God continue to grant to the church in Cuba the wisdom to bear witness to hope in the Lord Jesus Christ

Covenant has been in partnership in Belize since 2014. Our partner organization, The Word at Work, connects churches in Belize to churches in the United States, striving to create a mutually beneficial relationship. Each spring break, Covenant families visit our sister church in Belize City. Together we serve, celebrate, sing and grow in relationship.
