The gospel accounts offer different perspectives and timelines of the events that took place between Monday and Wednesday. Jesus overturned the tables in the Temple, was anointed in Bethany and spoke frequently to his disciples about his imminent death. Join us for worship each day at noon on Zoom. MONDAY TUESDAY WEDNESDAY
The Thursday before Easter is known as Maundy Thursday. On this night, Jesus washed the feet of his disciples, broke bread and shared the cup with them. We invite you to use this liturgy tonight as you break bread wherever you are.
Following the glory of Maundy Thursday, Christ’s commandment to his disciples to love one another and the institution of the Eucharist, the mood shifts to Good Friday, the darkest and saddest day in the liturgical calendar. It is called “good” because of what Jesus’ death means for the redemption of the world. Covenant will offer a short service with all three pastors participating. The service will be available at 5 p.m. and anytime after.
