Joy Ministry Lunch & Learn

Covenant’s Joy Ministry is a program which connects a volunteer “buddy” with a special needs child to make it possible for the child to attend and participate more fully in Sunday School.
We want all Covenant families to feel welcome on our campus. Many families with special needs children struggle to attend church as a family. Parents often divide up on Sunday morning, so one can attend a service while the other provides adequate care for their child. Without additional assistance in the Sunday school setting, our special needs children are missing out on the chance to learn about God’s love, make lasting friendships and be part of the church community.
We are in need of volunteer “buddies” to be one-on-one with a child to support them in their classroom.
We will have an informational meeting on Sunday, April 30, from 12:15-1:15. Please join us to learn more about the ministry, whether you are interested in volunteering or have a child you wish to have a buddy.
