Covenant Women, World Day of Prayer

All women are invited to join us when Covenant hosts Church Women United’s (CWU) observation of World Day of Prayer (WDP) on April 14 at 10:00 am (9:30 am for fellowship). WDP is an ecumenical movement of Christian women who come together for a worship service prepared by women from different countries.

This year, the women of Taiwan call us to worship with “I have heard about your faith,” from Ephesians 1:15-19, which speaks to the purpose on which the people of Taiwan rely while living in a precarious situation both geographically and politically. Our speaker, Shei-Lan Shi of the Austin Taiwanese Presbyterian Church, will introduce us to the history and culture of Taiwan.

For our CWUEcumenical Action, we will be collecting cleaning products for Covenant mission partner AVEY—dish soap, laundry detergent and fabric softener, toilet paper, paper towels and cleaning sprays.  To help with parking or food, please contact Lynn Bell, CWUCoordinator .
