FAQs

HOW DO I REGISTER?
Register here. Covenant uses a database called Realm for registration. Realm asks members to create a profile. Please create a profile if you do not already have one. Alternatively, you may register as a guest. This event is free.

WHEN WILL I LEARN THE DETAILS FOR MY SERVICE PROJECT?
Once registration is closed, someone from our Day of Service team will send an email with specific instructions about where to go and what you’ll need for the day.

WHAT IF I HAVE PHYSCIAL RESTRICTIONS? CAN I STILL SERVE?
Yes! Each of our opportunities can accommodate those who may need to be less active. If you need specific accommodations, please let Whitney know. Otherwise, let your team leader know when they contact you.

CAN CHILDREN COME?
Yes! All ages are welcome. We will offer childcare for children ages 4 and under. (We recognize that our littlest friends might not be ready for day of service.) Register for childcare.

I'D LIKE TO SERVE WITH A CITY PARTNER BEFORE DAY OF SERVICE. IS THERE A WAY FOR ME TO DO THAT?
Yes! See all the service opportunities available now! They will also be available after the Day of Service if you are out of town or have a conflict on that day.

WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
We will be in touch! Some service opportunities will be indoors. But if your event is affected by inclement weather, we will contact you before the event.

DAY OF SERVICE LOOKS DIFFERENT THIS YEAR. WHY THE CHANGE?
Our hope is to take our congregation deeper with our city partners. To make that happen, we are focused on four city partners. Covenant folks will be able to learn about what they are doing in the city and then take the next steps toward involvement in these amazing organizations. We are excited to take a deep dive with these city partners!

I'M UNABLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THESE ACTIVITIES, BUT I WANT TO BE A PART OF THIS. HOW CAN I HELP?
We will have two options for people who are unable to participate on this year’s Day of Service.
• We will be collecting warm socks and gloves for adults to be given to our newest mission partner, “Helping Our Neighbors”. This is a ministy that serves the homeless population in the Northwest portion of Austin. A collection bin will be ready in Covenant Hall on Nov. 1.
