Baptisms

What is the sacrament of Baptism?

Baptism is a sign and seal of God’s redeeming grace offered to all people. This grace is a gift as well as an invitation. Baptism calls us to repentance, faithfulness, and discipleship. In Baptism, we are raised to newness of life in Christ. At Covenant, we baptize all those whom God calls as well as their children.

Who is Baptism for?

Baptism is available to adults and children upon their profession in Jesus Christ, and to infants whose parents are Covenant members. The congregation promises to nurture the faith of those baptized. As there is one body, there is one baptism (Ephesians 4.4-6). Covenant recognizes all baptisms with water and in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
