Covenant Marriage Workshop is Jan. 27

“Create Lift by Avoiding Drift” is the topic of Covenant’s Jan. 27 marriage workshop at 4 p.m. in FE 200 facilitated by Todd and Beverly Sandel. The couple has been leading marriage retreats and conferences since 2006. Todd serves as the managing director of The LifeGate Group in Atlanta. He is a certified executive coach and a licensed marriage and family therapist. Beverly is a full-time mother to four children and is trained as a Gottman Educator in the areas of parenting and marriage.

The workshop will focus on couples today, who seem to live life wide open and thus in a constant state of hurry. This pace of everyday life together will eventually lead to relational drift in marriage and a slow erosion of closeness and intimacy as a couple.

This workshop, which requires that attendees have a dinner reservation at the restaurant of their chose after the session, will help couples identify the ways “hurry” is creating drift and equip them with a few powerful ways to create closeness by guarding your marriage against the enemy of drift.

The workshop starts at 4 p.m. in FE 200. Childcare will be available from 3:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., the duration of the workshop and dinner. Cost will be $12/child. Make childcare requests at least one week prior to the event (by Jan. 20) at childcare@covenant.org.
