Covenant offers prayer support for individuals and groups. Whether you’re having a difficult time with a personal issue, or planning a large mission trip and need everything to go smoothly, prayer can help ease the burden and allow God to handle the difficult issues. If you are or someone you know is experiencing a difficult health issue, Covenant offers hospital visitation as well as other types of support during hospital care and beyond.

Behind all of our missions are prayers. During mission trips, our prayer team prays for travelers and serves as the liaison between travelers and the church. This group also provides intercessory prayer for mission trips. For more information about prayer teams, contact Jan Obar at Jjansobar@aol.com or (512) 259-1492.
Each week, the Covenant Mission Committee places the name of a ministry and a missionary into the worship bulletin. We ask members and guests to pray for the safety, finances, Holy Spirit, openness, joy, health and travel associated with the ministry and missionary every week. Specific prayer requests for the ministry or missionary may also be written on prayer cards and put in the prayer box in the Narthex.
The Prayer Warriors are Covenant members who have a great heart for prayer. Those congregants in need of prayer contact the church. With permission from the one being prayed for, the church sends the prayer requests to our Prayer Warriors, who pray for the person in need. For more information, contact Kay Austin at email@example.com or (512) 334-3030.
The Covenant Prayer Shawl Ministry provides shawls and blankets to anyone enduring life-altering treatments and chronic illnesses, and to families grieving the loss of a loved one. The Prayer Shawl group knits or crochets these gifts of love as a tangible reminder that God is ever-present. Recipients have shared that these handmade pieces bring reassurance and the feeling of being “wrapped” in God’s love during a difficult time. The Prayer Shawl Ministry welcomes participants of all ages and skill levels, and happily instructs those new to knitting and crocheting. Every meeting is a gathering of dedicated servants: The group prays, shares stories and feedback from past recipients, and reads thank you notes from families. This ministry, made up of women of many faiths, meets the first and third Tuesday of every month at 1:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary Parlor. For more information, contact Kay Austin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Stephen Ministry is a program that equips lay people to provide distinctively Christian one-to-one care for those who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances, both in our congregation and community. Stephen Ministers receive 50 hours of initial training in important caring ministry skills, and are well equipped to provide spiritual care. The care a Stephen Minister offers is confidential and free. For more information, contact Joe Denton at email@example.com or Kay Austin at firstname.lastname@example.org
