It’s fun to attend the same classes as your spouse and friends of other genders. At Covenant, we offer many classes that are open to men and women of various ages and stages. Our classes provide activities and lessons that you can apply to your life and that place you in settings where you can meet others who want to grow closer to God.

The purpose of the Monday Morning Bagel Bunch (MMBB), is to increase our knowledge of Christian faith through the study of books on contemporary issues of the bible.
The meeting begins with a 15-minute “catch-up” conversation (or conversations!); moves into a thirty minute study time and ends with prayer requests and prayer. While these activities are going on we enjoy bagels and coffee (and sometimes homemade pastries from one of the members).
The MMBB is a stable group whose members are mutually accountable to each other and which have been meeting for nearly 20 years.

Our study focuses on the disciple as learner, believer, follower, proclaimer and servant, while providing the fellowship of a small group for study, prayer, preparation, support and servanthood. Fall semester 2017, we plan to study the Gospel of John.
We have been using the Kerygma curriculum in our group. The word kerygma has the basic meaning “proclamation” and is properly applied to material directed to and through the people of God. This good news is essentially defined by the Bible. The Kerygma program’s primary purpose is to promote and facilitate responsible, effective study of the Bible in the church.

The Andrew Hawkins Men’s Bible Study is home to a diverse group of men who meet to study the Bible and for fellowship. Our structure is informal. We do not use a study guide or have a designated teacher. Each week, the group together decides which chapters of a book of the Bible to assign for reading and study. We ask a member to research commentaries and other reference sources for information that may shed light on the assigned reading. The group then engages in often lively and always earnest discussions, as we try to determine God’s meaning or message in the chapters. The group is named after our friend and mentor, Andrew Hawkins. We encourage anyone interested to join the group Mondays at 6:30 p.m. in FE 102. For more information, contact Gene McKenzie at firstname.lastname@example.org or (512) 627-6571.
When: Thursdays at 6 a.m.
Where: FE 200
Men in the Word meets Thursdays at 6 a.m. in FE 200. We are a group of early risers who endeavor to learn God’s transforming truths and will for their lives through in-depth study, lectures and prayer. The study topics for Men in the Word parallel those of the women’s Lamplighters’ group, enabling couples to study and share. Covenant member Don Jones leads our group. If you have missed a lecture and would like to catch up, all of the current year’s lectures can be accessed on MitW’s YouTube Channel. For more information, contact Don Jones at email@example.com or Harold Skaggs at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Lamplighters’ mission is to study the Bible in a way that makes it fresh and relevant for today. Our participants support one another in study and encourage each other through prayer. Join women of all ages and stages of faith as we explore the Bible through lecture and small group discussion.
Lamplighters meet at various times to enable women to attend regardless of their situation. We welcome all to come on Monday evenings or Wednesday mornings from September to April, and we have Lamps On Location times as well. These groups vary in their locations (a few are out of state) and times. We offer a Wednesday lamps class, in which our children study the same Bible lesson. We also offer free childcare on Wednesdays.
Covenant MoMs Group is for new, expecting and experienced moms. We meet on the first and third Monday of each month from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in SA 114 to experience informative and helpful presentations, share parenting ideas, and provide general support for each other.
